JAMS 5.4 manages processes and tasks running in SAS and enables users to integrate SAS processes into enterprise workflows.
22 March 2012 – MVP Systems Software, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise job scheduling and workload automation software, announced today that it has added a SAS Adaptor to JAMS Job Scheduler 5.4. The JAMS Adaptor for SAS enables JAMS to seamlessly integrate with SAS applications.
SAS provides business intelligence solutions for IT management, human resource management, financial management, customer relationship management and more.
JAMS provides SAS users with a complete batch automation framework. This framework ensures that any analysis provided by SAS is delivered in a timely fashion, and allows an organization’s users to seamlessly integrate SAS with other mission critical processes. JAMS reduces the need for specific SAS expertise by automating common SAS operations. With JAMS, non-SAS users can query SAS statistics without specific SAS knowledge.
JAMS provides two methods to handle SAS processing:
- Using the Command Execution Method to process SAS executables.
- Using the SAS Execution Method which keeps the SAS program in the JAMS job definition.
In both methods, JAMS provides superior parameter handling capabilities. JAMS passes parameter values to a job by scanning the source for parameter names. JAMS parameter handling can use the SAS Execution Method because the SAS program is in the job. Parameter references can be entered directly into the program.
