JAMS Job Scheduler 6.0 adds intelligent grouping, centralized alerting and a streamlined user interface to its latest release.

2 July 2013 – MVP Systems Software, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise job scheduling and workload automation software, announced today the general release of JAMS Job Scheduler 6.0, the latest version of its flagship solution. Fueled by its rapidly growing community of users, MVP has incorporated a dozen new features and enhancements.

“JAMS 6.0 brings us one step closer to our vision of a unified standard for enterprise job scheduling and automation,” says David Kluskiewicz, VP Marketing at MVP. “Our development and support teams gathered input from across our customer base. JAMS users ranging from IT operations managers to database administrators and application developers all contributed thoughtful ideas for this release.”

Highlights from JAMS 6.0 include:

  • Intelligent Job Grouping – Streamlined organization and management for large numbers of jobs. Advanced filtering features let users group and view jobs quickly and easily.
  • Consolidated Job Views – A concise, redesigned view of the most commonly used job properties.
  • Centralized Alerting – Alerts and notifications can be defined once, and then deployed globally to specific jobs, setups or the entire schedule.
  • Code-free Setups – Common actions such as continuing, failing and halting can be applied to any workflow without any code. Every job and setup definition includes a drop-down menu for adding common actions to a job.

The latest release of JAMS also includes real-time monitoring for Linux and UNIX jobs, contextual job menus accessible from anywhere in the GUI, and advanced filtering in the monitor view.
