JAMS SCOM Management Pack 6.2.0.0 enhances integration with Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM).

11 November 2014 – MVP Systems Software, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise job scheduling and workload automation software, announced today that it has extended monitoring and alerting capabilities of JAMS Job Scheduler with the release of an updated SCOM Management Pack. The Management Pack will be available through both the JAMS web site (www.jamsscheduler.com/) and the Microsoft System Center Marketplace (pinpoint.microsoft.com).

The latest release of the JAMS SCOM Management Pack takes advantage of Microsoft’s Message Queuing to ensure alerts are efficiently routed to support teams and applications. The JAMS SCOM Management Pack writes directly to an MSMQ queue, which can be read by SCOM.

The JAMS SCOM Management Pack lets users include important information, such as recovery instructions, in SCOM alerts. Changes made to alert definitions are automatically reflected in packages sent to SCOM.

The JAMS SCOM Management Pack, first launched in 2012 enables users to monitor JAMS components and services that have been deployed across any combination of servers and hypervisors. The Management Pack reports, in real time, resources such as availability and health of JAMS Agents and Schedulers. It supports agent tasks and dashboard views.

“The performance data generated by JAMS is a useful complement to SCOM’s monitoring and alerting capabilities,” says David Kluskiewicz, VP Marketing at MVP. “With this latest version of our Management Pack, customers can pinpoint automation bottlenecks in their infrastructure and resolve most issues with the information contained in SCOM alerts.”

The JAMS SCOM Management Pack currently supports SCOM 2007R2, 2012 and 2012 R2.
