HelpSystems Acquires MVP Systems Software to Bolster Enterprise Workload Automation Portfolio
Minneapolis, Nov. 13, 2018 – HelpSystems announced today that it has acquired MVP Systems Software, a leader in enterprise workload automation software based in Unionville, Conn. Founded in 1985, MVP has earned a loyal, global customer base, and they’ve enjoyed fast growth due to this demand. The talented members of MVP will join HelpSystems’ workload automation team, enabling HelpSystems to innovate faster and strengthen its leadership position in digital transformation. The addition of MVP also supports HelpSystems’ commitment to the ongoing expansion of its cross-platform offerings and international presence.
Enterprise workload automation is key to freeing time for valuable IT personnel resources via accurate, reliable, automated processes that virtually eliminate manual procedures. This is critical as IT teams today operate within tight budgets with employees who are often stretched too thin, particularly as the role of IT continues to grow. With this acquisition, HelpSystems customers now have even more opportunity to benefit from workload automation, whether their operations are running on Windows, UNIX (including AIX), Linux, or IBM i. HelpSystems will continue to enhance, sell, and support MVP’s JAMS solution alongside its own Automate Schedule and Robot Schedule products.
“At HelpSystems, workload automation is in our DNA. This makes the acquisition of MVP a natural extension of this foundational part of our business and demonstrates our continued commitment to making IT lives easier,” said Chris Heim, CEO, HelpSystems.
“Our focus is always on adapting and providing the best technology from everyone on our growing team to improve existing products, develop even better ones, and continue offering top-notch customer service,” said Dan Mayleben, CFO, HelpSystems. “We’re excited to start working with the MVP team to enhance what’s possible for customers with our workload automation business.”
“I couldn’t be happier with the fit between MVP and HelpSystems, both from a strategy perspective and from a people perspective,” said Scott McCausland, CEO, MVP. “Not only will our customers continue to enjoy the dedicated support they’ve always known, but they’ll also have access to a wide range of complementary options for improving how they run their businesses every day.”
