HelpSystems Partners with Ellucian to Bring JAMS to Higher Education Customers
MINNEAPOLIS April 8, 2019 – HelpSystems today announced a partnership with Ellucian, a leading provider of software and services built to power higher education. The goal of the alliance is to enable higher education professionals using Banner® by Ellucian to apply HelpSystems’ automation solution, JAMS, to enhance efficiency and deliver high levels of service for students and applicants.
Banner is a full ERP suite used by higher education administrators, faculty, and students. The addition of JAMS automation to Banner processes that manage financial aid, student scheduling, and other activities delivers notable benefits for all involved. In particular, the powerful combination can significantly reduce workloads for short-staffed teams faced with data-intensive processes, tight timeframes, and restrictive budgets. In fact, it’s often impossible for colleges and universities to tackle this volume of work manually without the kind of job scheduling and workload automation JAMS provides.
“We are truly excited to be part of the Ellucian community and have a growing number of customers using JAMS to automate tasks within Banner”” said Scott McCausland, General Manager, Workload Automation, HelpSystems. “This partnership shows our commitment to higher education and to the hard-working professionals who need effective technology to create and maintain modern education enterprises.”
“We are thrilled to welcome HelpSystems to the Ellucian Partner Community,” said Andrea Henry, Senior Director, Partnerships at Ellucian. “HelpSystems’ workload automation solution, JAMS, enables joint customers to improve the service levels delivered to students, faculty, and staff.”
HelpSystems is currently exhibiting at Ellucian Live, taking place through April 10 in New Orleans. During the event, the HelpSystems team will engage with attendees on how to apply JAMS job scheduling and workload automation to current Banner tasks in an effort to simplify the way they approach their jobs.
JAMS is the only job scheduling system built on a .NET framework and is the first enterprise job scheduling system that can be leveraged by both IT operations personnel and application developers. With its roots in Windows, JAMS also supports running processes across a variety of operating systems (UNIX, Linux, IBM i, OpenVMS, etc.) and applications (PeopleSoft, SAP, SQL, Oracle, Symitar, Ecometry, etc.). JAMS is used by over 1,000 organizations worldwide, including Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and ISVs.
