Informatica awards certification to JAMS Job Scheduler.

9 January 2014 – MVP Systems Software, Inc. today announced that it has earned the Informatica Marketplace Seal of Approval for its centralized job scheduling and workload automation solution JAMS. JAMS Job Scheduler is a featured automation solution in the Informatica Marketplace. MVP’s participation in the Marketplace expands its access to Informatica’s global customer base.

Informatica’s Seal of Approval validates the use of JAMS for centralized management and monitoring of Informatica PowerCenter batch processes. Informatica users who leverage JAMS gain access to powerful job scheduling features, such as cross-platform scheduling, resource-based scheduling, natural language date specifications, dependencies and job status notifications. JAMS fully supports Informatica PowerCenter and enable users of the two complementary technologies to shift from job scheduling to business process automation.

Informatica’s certification followed an extensive review of JAMS including its core architecture, scheduling and automation features, security standards, logging, reporting and application integration. “JAMS is an excellent example of the more than 1,000 apps on the Informatica Marketplace designed to improve productivity for Informatica customers,” says Scott Geffre, vice president, Cloud Business Operations and Marketplace. “Designed for centralized batch processing, JAMS provides a unified console that not only manages Informatica batch jobs, but also connects those Informatica jobs to enterprise-wide workflows.”

The Seal of Approval review was conducted by the company’s Informatica Marketplace, which brings together buyers and sellers from all over the world to collaborate on data integration solutions. Participants in the Marketplace provide a rich set of capabilities that come from having a long history of leading technology combined with a robust development community. Featuring JAMS on the Marketplace has enhanced its visibility with the Informatica community, whose members visit the site more than 50,000 times per month.

“We’re proud to receive this formal certification from the team at Informatica,” says David Kluskiewicz, MVP’s VP of Marketing. “It recognizes our efforts to maintain a seamless connection between Informatica jobs and other mission critical batch jobs running throughout the enterprise.”

JAMS Job Scheduler enables Informatica users to connect their batch processes to mission critical workflows that run on ERP systems, databases, virtual machines or on any server within the enterprise. Regardless of how a company utilizes Informatica technology, it can achieve new levels of efficiency and reliability by running those jobs in JAMS.
